Is there a way to repair bose headphones?

my dog chewed up the wire close right at the jack so the headphones and the wire are completely separated. they were my dad’s and they were also 200 dollars, i’m desperate for help!
Solution #1
Buy electrical tape, tape the wiring together (the split-ends that your dog chewed up), and test the headphones to see if they work by plugging them into a device such as a laptop, music player, TV, etc.

If this jack is the same size replace it. (Then replace the dog before he gets you in more trouble
